Recent global and local events are once again reflecting significance in the current Saturn opposite Uranus aspect. Saturn and Uranus came into focus back in November 2008 with the onset of the global financial crisis and President Obama’s presidency. The Saturn and Uranus aspect usually indicates changes in weather patterns, social justice, political and financial unrest and other natural phenomena.
In recent weeks there have been several Saturn Uranus events worthy of mentioning.
The Volcano in Iceland has disrupted thousands of international flights and stranded a great many people. The cost to various airlines and related industries is nearing $10 billion according to the above information.
Earthquakes are not unusual for this time of year however in the relative scheme of Saturn Uranus there have been some significant shifts in the earth’s crust of late. The Tibetan earthquake a few weeks ago claimed thousands of lives.
In my local area there was an earthquake that rocked Kalgoorlie destroying several buildings. Some experts have said that the significant excavations in the “Golden Mile” have contributed to this seismic disturbance.
A sizeable hole indeed
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Congress party and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) of ‘preplanning’ the recent riots in Andhra Pradesh’s Hyderabad.
Thai troops fired rubber bullets and tear gas at the rioters, who were armed with guns, grenades and petrol bombs. The rioting lasted for up to four hours, leaving the area resembling a war zone. (Bangkok)
Kyrgyzstan’s ex-president, Kurmanbek Bakiyev, who was deposed in a street revolt two weeks ago, has taken refuge in the dictatorship of Belarus, while the country’s interim leaders are trying to control a wave of ethnic unrest touched off by his ouster. $30 Billion Euro Bailout?
Jakarta and Social Order
Horrific scenes during last week’s riots in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, have led to a welter of accusations of human rights breaches and oppressive conduct by public order officers. The riots also made it patently clear to the world that the supremacy of the law is a long way from realization in Indonesia. Furthermore, the violence was a clear indication that many of our citizens hold the judicial system in contempt, preferring the concept of “might is right” over rational orderly protest.
People Power and Social Justice – Saturn Uranus
Recently China has replaced the most powerful official in its western region of Xinjiang, where ethnic violence left nearly 200 people dead last July.
Melbourne Storm NRL Rugby team salary cap scandal rocked the rugby world. Stripped of two premierships and asked to pay back over a $million in winnings. Overly harsh penalties?
NRL chief executive David Gallop has handed down a massive punishment. For the brazen deception involved in these breaches it’s hard to argue with the retrospective penalty of stripping the Storm of their long list of achievements.
Perth, Australia Politics in resource wealthy Western Australia suddenly became interesting with a bizarre love affair scandal stunning the local political establishment.
Left wing Greens Party MP Adele Carles admitted to an extramarital love affair with the state’s conservative Liberal Party Treasurer and MP, Troy Buswell. Buswell claims that he will pay back any public funds that are associated to the affair.

About 60 babies and small children, mainly in Western Australia, have suffered fits, fever and vomiting after receiving the new seasonal flu vaccine, prompting Australia’s chief medical officer last Friday to advise against it being given to under-fives. One child in Queensland dies.
I know there are many more political and social unrest stories that could qualify the aspect of Saturn Uranus however it is not my purpose to bombard you with news items nor is my goal to prove the workings of astrology. As you may know I am particularly interested in how global , social – community circumstances affect us on individual levels.
Some people may think there is a lot of news items at the moment and that the world seems busier than normal? The volcanic ash disaster and subsequent international travel disruptions would have touched most people. I think it would be safe to say that we all know of someone who was/is caught up in this natural disaster.
Nature runs its own course it seems. In these type of events humans can appreciate their “insignificance” on earth. Scientists, presidents and religious leaders can do nothing to rectify such inconveniences and instead we have to adjust.
The same can be said about social and political reform. Perhaps in our rebellion and rioting we realise that People Power is a great force for change. That individuals can make a difference in the community by joining together in opposition.
With the shame and disruption of public scandal we can also achieve a kind of social justice. People dig their own graves, they self destruct all by themselves. As individuals however, we can view these public scandals like “executions”. We may be surprised and bewildered by such scandal but it has nothing to do with us. The shame is upon someone elses head and with quiet reflection we can evaluate who “we are” versus and who “we are not”.
The French Revolution is linked to the discovery of Uranus. The war of independence in America started with Saturn opposite Uranus.
