The Cost of Venus

This Friday the 23rd January the planet Venus aligns with weirdo Uranus where anything goes in our social scenario’s. When planning a party one would do well to time the event with Venus and Uranus. Venus and Uranus represents a strong excitability in love expression (Ebertin). I have been to some very fine fancy dress parties when Venus is conjunct Uranus. The affair this Friday however has potential for sweet and sour outcomes.

Venus is a fast moving inner planet which represents aspects of social interactions – beauty –  love and money. Nothing is surprising when Venus and Uranus get together – its going to be an odd meeting indeed.

odd-coupleA Meeting it will be!

The planet Uranus can represent “the separation of” – the individuation of what he comes into contact with in the chart. Uranus wants to differentiate between one and the other by creating a defining moment in time. Uranus works very well when he aspects two natal planets this way. Uranus wants to change the way the two planets (personality function) have become reliant on each other. Uranus  wants to split that team up and to make them inter dependant.

When the longer Uranus transit to natal Venus occurs some of the outcomes for a person are the following;

  • Unusual and exciting romance that may or may not last
  • The meeting of a very unusual or foreign woman
  • Depending on age – “loss of virginity”
  • Exciting experiences involving risk and money
  • Changing ones look – fashion upgrades and renewal of animus
  • sudden windfalls or even losses – losing ones life savings.

When Venus meets with Uranus in the course of their orbits around the Sun – for everyone this Friday – the outcomes are less life changing. The transit is fleeting and the experiences are socially orientated and unusual to say the least. This weekend we see Venus and Uranus meet in Pisces and unfortunately the “great fun limiter”  – the old devil – Saturn is in opposition to Venus. Talk about sweet and sour and the sobering cost to a bit of fun!

The scenarios or predictions for later this week include “modesty with flair”. After the party if you get back to your car and find that someone has broken in – try to remember the good times had. The all night revelling and good times seem to have a cost involved which may leave a bad taste in ones mouth this week.

unusual-nightGrounding – Sobering indeed

Perhaps there is an obligatory duty and you must attend a particular social event? In this case there is a potential to experience a better time than you originally expected. Venus Uranus do seem to raise expectations and bring all manner of artists and extravagant people to the fore. There is a flash of popularity with corks popping and that’s it!  Saturn is involved and there is a limit to the unbridled celebrations this time.

I would stay away from the Casino and dimly lit car parks this week. The idea of infidelity and splurging out will have consequences this time. Sometimes Venus does have a cost – even if that means being left with awkward feelings.

Such is life

Hey Kingsley – Uranus exactly conjuncts my Venus natally, in Leo. I married an Aquarius, and we have been together for over 25 years. He is from Chile, and me, born in Brooklyn, NY. We met in college, and had that instant connection, and though our relationship has taken many twists and turns, we are still happily married. My husband has always been full of surprises, and he still is, and I guess that is how this aspect has played out for me. Looking forward to Friday!

I got there from work at the time arranged but they never showed. Oh well, I was dissapointed for about 3 minutes and then got some takeaway. Yum

I guess I had my awkward moment Roses

There has been another “cost” to my Venus – enjoyment today. They are going to shape my downloading speed because I have reached a limit – they say.

This is very much the flavour of the current transits of Venus Uranus opposite Saturn

LOVE is more Disturbia – in the city of wonder

    / It’s a thief in the night
    To come and grab you
It can creep up inside you
    And consume you
    A disease of the mind
    It can control you /

I have been somewhat pessimistic in this blog. Such a party pooper. Perhaps this blog is a good example of countertransference by the Astrologer. I like to tell it how “I read it” but in retrospect I sense some of my own experience has emerged in this forecast!
