Astrology Moments

In the next few days there will be four planets situated at 26 degrees in the astrological landscape. This particular degree (26) has been quite predominant recently although I am not sure whether this has specific meaning in the general scheme of things. Perhaps those with natal planets at 26 degrees will argue the point.

Tomorrow Mercury will be at 26 degrees Gemini, Venus at 26 degrees Taurus, Jupiter at 26 degrees Aquarius and Uranus at 26 degrees of Pisces.

This equates to the following complex array of aspects.

Venus sextile Uranus

Venus square Jupiter

The aspect patterns look something like a squeeze box.

All these planets are connected to each other and in some way are interacting together to “say” something in the transitting astrological landscape. Perhaps the faster moving personal planets of Mercury and Venus can be described as a dis-chord here. When we think about music and harmonies etc the dis chord is when a particular note or combination of notes strikes a discordant pause. The discordant pause in a musical sense  is designed to highlight or emphasise a particular point in the piece of music. Much the same a painting which displays a colour that seems out of place however fits into the scheme of things creatively.

So what does all this mean in literal and subjective astrological interpretation?

Mercury and Jupiter are working well for ideas and plans tomorrow. Events such as workshops and meetings to discuss important plans are situated well, however different social – cultural and philosophical backgrounds in the mix will present an interesting moment or pause. Perhaps there is a discordant moment where one senses a “difference” – like that silent moment in some discussions that becomes poignant to the scheme of things.

Accepting diversity and incorporating ideas tomorrow even if they seem out of place doesn’t necessarily point to conflict. There may be an unusual approach to ones existing ideas and concepts that presents itself. Whether one takes those views on board is not the point of this complex aspect pattern however the pause and emphasis in the “dis-chord” shows that diversity is present. The philosophical challenge is to make sense of this and to either acknowledge or incorporate a different view amidst the “team”.

On Saturday the 13th June 2009 at 12 01 pm EDT – Facebook will be changing the way one can have “nic names”  instead of using real names for profile pages.

The changeover means that there will be a mad scramble to get ones preferred nic name registered with facebook. It is a first in first served basis.

The face book team have said that measures have been taken to stop people “squatting” on names. Jeez it sounds like a wild wild west land rush?. I will be up at 12 01 am in my location to try my luck. I must say it will be a welcome change from stipulating real names on facebook.

Here is the chart for the proposed changeover. I have done the chart for New York EDT as an arbitary location. I have no idea where they will actually be throwing the switch.  They just say EDT.

With Saturn on the ascendant it doesn’t bode well for an easy transition for facebook. The Internet site for registering names will most likely be jammed by millions of subscribers.

The Moon is square Merury which is the ruler of the chart. This indicates another problematic situation for the changeover event this Saturday. The Moon is conjunct Jupiter Neptune and Chiron. Moon Jupiter is usually a feel good aspect however in this case the emphasis is an overwhelming response.

Many people will miss out on their preferred nic names and be shut out of the system for some time.

If I was Facebook I would firstly sack the astrologer who elected this time and then delay the naming rights until another time.

The New Moon this week has returned to the begining of the cycle for the Eagles first game on 29th March 1987. The first official AfL game for home and away points was against Richmond at Subiaco oval. In essence the Eagles are having a Solar return. I do not know the start time of the first game however I believe it would have been around mid day.

The Eagles have not lost an openning round game ever and this may be one of the reasons for that. The First Game Chart can represent the birth chart of the Eagles footbal team. The other chart I use is the gala evening where the players  and jumpers were announced. That was 30 Oct 1986 at 7 30 pm. Perth time.
